In this intimate two-character play—a new work-in-progress by E.M. Lewis—Zan is forced to choose between community service and juvenile detention after a violent incident in his high school. He picks community service. But when he’s assigned to read to Dorothy, a librarian who is facing a health crisis, neither of them is sure he’s made the right decision. Between difficult conversations and battles over books, they build an unbreakable bond. This reading of Dorothy’s Dictionary is funded in part by the Regional Arts & Culture Council. ASL interpretation will be provided.
