Castaway Cabaret is an experience like no other. Featuring live music, dancing, comedy, magic, burlesque, balloon animals, juggling, tight-rope walking and fire-eating, Castaway Cabaret is like a show you’d pay $130 to see in Las Vegas—only ours is entirely produced and performed entirely by a guy who spent the last eight months on a deserted island. Everybody asks how Jake provided for himself—but honestly the bigger challenge was ENTERTAINING himself. See it once, and you’ll never be bored again. See it twice, double your chances of coming on the night of a CELEBRITY CAMEO (what?!). Don’t bring kids (you can take a balloon animal home). Buy early, this show will sell out! From the creator of …like nobody’s watching: ★★★★ “thoughtful, silly, awkward, and goofy”; – Theatre in London ★★★★; – Fourth Wall Media “Simonds dances like nobody’s watching, creating something new and wonderful in the process” – Australian Stage; *WINNER*- Toastie Award at the 2018 Ottawa Fringe Festival. Castaway Cabaret and Clifton Holznagel’s The Squeeze comprise the 79th Avenue Festival. Come any night to catch both shows, total runtime 90 minutes. Clifton and Jake are graduates of Portland Experimental Theatre Ensemble’s Institute for Contemporary Performance.
